Canon XF100 + variable ND filter

I was shooting in the most spectacularly beautiful gardens yesterday and decided to try some shallow DOF shots. Despite this little camera (Canon XF100) only having a 1/3” sensor, it’s possible with a bit of care to achieve these shots, you just need a bit of patience, a variable ND, have the iris wide open and to be at the end of the lens. The video below is straight out of the camera, untouched by human hands. View in HD if you can.

Bokeh enthusiasts aren’t going to be blown away, but still, not bad for a small format camera.
